Hi Andrew, I reckon the best place to get POI is by register as a member. The database is very accurate and it updates very frequenctly to include new safety camera.
As far as the free speed camera POI downloads for my Garmin is concerned, how up to date are they please?
Hi Barry
To close this thread, our FREE POI database is not as frequently updated as our "members only" POI database. As anyone would expect, only our active members can download complete road safety POI files.
Our POI moderators and registered members can easily add any new camera location, edit existing locations or delete old locations. It takes about 30 seconds to geocode and submit new cameras and all other POIs. It's easier to submit new location to our POI Download Zone than to maintain any local "update" on your home computer. Our active members can also elect to get emailed update notifications.
I would say Andrew that the difference between becoming a member and downloading free POI files is that the member updates will be more current and completely up-to-date.
I have just read the comments and cannot understand anyone who would not subsribe to this site, It has got to be the best value for money site in the world. I lost my GPS and and 2 months had $250 in speeding fines... My wife said, GET A NEW ONE NOW.....
The cost of updating and managing the site is no doubt covered by the registration fees. Fantastic, Keep up the great work. A few dollars cost for all the benefits.
I initially signed to list my business and needed some help. I listed 500 new locations and edited more than 4000 already listed points since.
After 4 years, 2 Garmins and 1 bonus map upgrade I can say this site gives the easiest access to all poi updates and upgrades. I log in monthly, add and edit my local points and download all recently updated pois.
Accurate database updates of Red Light Cameras and Speed Camera locations.
Everyone I know uses this database to update US photo enforced locations. The best consumer generated POI DB on the market.
