|(5) I have tried installing some red light/speed camera alers, but all I was able to get is a narrow dark oval shape in the middle of the screen, obstructing the view quite heavily and containing text in very small, hard to read font. I can also get some "bing" sounds, either single, or repeated, depending on what I put in my Settings. However, despite repeated trying, I was NOTable to achieve any of the following, which some of the forum members indicate is generally possible for Garmins:
- Proper, recorded, or computer generated warnings (i.e. "Speed camera ahead")
- A flashing/red upper bar on the display
- A large icons on the screen when approaching a camera
Are all of the above really possible on, say Nuvi 1390T?
Is there really no user friendly software that would allow me to automate the process of including various file types, setting proximity alarms, checking icons, choosing sound files, etc?
