Hello, I'm new to this forum, and I just got my nuvi 350 yesterday. I've been very excited and have been playing around with my new toy a lot.
I'm not sure if it's supposed to do this -- but I can no longer add anymore favorites unless I delete a long list of added "favorites" that I didn't intend to add when I imported a POI file into my device. Was it supposed to add them as favorites?
How can I delete these new "favorites" without deleting my previous favorites that I had entered manually?

You should use POI Loader to save POIs to your nuvi. Download all CSV (and BMP) files that you want to some HDD folder, point POI loader to that direction and save POIs to your GPS device. Easy.
You can create Private POI favorites file in this secured POI zone. It can help to prevent this to happen again. It's much easier to maintain your favorite POI file on PC (or Mac) and than to save them to ANY device that you have or may have in the future.
