Watch for the newly installed Red Light / Speed cameras. They are very sensitive and have very low tolerance - you can be booked driving just 5km over the limit. Apparently in Sydney/NSW the tolerance introduced by Labour Government was "zero" meaning even 1km over the limit was enough to lose points and get the fine.
There was over 200 new cameras installed in Sydney alone in March/May 2011.

We have one of these being tested in my town - highly annoying, but was interesting too watch it for the first few nights as everyone screeched down to 30 before going through

Chicago has to be the worst town to live in. There is new camera popping up every weekend I drive around town, and there is no tolerance at all.

Run red light even for 0.1 seconds, snap. $100 Fine coming your way.

Highly doubt the 0% tolerance, as the Australian design regs have 10% tolerance. If you are in a 50kph speed zone, 55 kph gives you that 10% over and you will be fined.
There has been talk of the Vic gov reducing the tolerance on speeding to 5%, so the bet think is to obey the signs and not try to beat the system/rules.. Smile
