I was driving on a freeway,and a picture of the freeway popped up on the Nuvi. I don't have any JPEG of any roadway in the unit. The road I was driving along passed the entrance of a new tunnel. Could the Nuvi picked up a traffic camera signal?. Don't know...
Can anyone shed any light on this.

My wife has a 1390T and it hasn't happened to her
Maybe it was the traffic cam

Think I have worked out the popup roadway photos. Must have been the lane assist feature of the unit.The reason I believe it was, because I was in navigation mode at the time. Was the first time I travelled on the particular road with the Nuvi 1390t.

This is correct. It is the traffic assit that is worked off the gps reading so will give the lane that you need to be in. Great technology!

I believe that additional photos will be added with each new map update but keep your eyes on the road!

Hi,

If what you saw looked anything like a junction it's a feature called "Junction View" and only appears for selected roads and highways. Lane Assist however shows up for nearly every road or highway that has a turning lane, and are those arrows you see in the top left hand corner of the screen.

I have just got a Nuvi 265W from Harvey Norman, on special for $198.00.
Very happy with that so far.
For me 1 requirement is the Bluetooth, Handsfree phone calls is a priority.
Have used the 1390T, so cant comment.
Though I have heard that the traffic function is three parts useless here in Aus...

Garmin 1490T is good GPS. Garmin 3790T is brand new and i still play with it try to make it work better but no luck yet.

I tried 3790. It looks like Iphone, but there are some minor problems like showing POI etc. New Firmware should fix problems.

You right, the 3790 not wrok smooth, Garmin still have to fix few matter. i don't like Garmin 3790 now.
