If I am travelling from City A to destination City B, I would like to see a list of hotels in City B in advance, so that I can phone ahead. I know how to find the hotels once I get to City B, but is there a way to do it before I get there?

Select poi/lodging/hotel and then select the option 'near'. This will allow you to select poi's near City B

It works the same way on other Garmin units I've used also. You can also search by the hotel name the same way if you know where you want to stay from the list already included in the unit from the factory.

Post You need to go to the city first

For my Nuvi 760 I go to the City and then map, from there you can search for POI's and the ones for the local city area will come up.
