Information on Garmin Infotainment System on Suzuki S-cross

Hi,
Sorry but I am new on this.
I have a new Suzuki S-Cross with a Garmin Infotainment System but the Owner's Manual DOES NOT tell me what model is?
Does any one can tell me the model number?
Also I want to download the POI for safety cameras (as currently they are not in the unit) How do I do it and what files should I download from this site?
I highly appreciate any help with this.. as I am very ignorant and not very computer literate... :?: :?:

Re: Information on Garmin Infotainment System on Suzuki S-cr

Hi
Your car dealer should help with that.
Can you find any SD Card/USB port on your unit? Download a basic GPX file for Garmin, save it to your USB or SD, put it in your device and restart your GPS unit.
Regards

Hi Mark,
Thank you very much for your quick response.
The car dealer is no help as this is a new model car. (although I believe Suzuki's car use Garmin unit since 2010).
Yes the car have a SD car to up-grade firmware.. I already use it and work fine as I up-dated to the latest firmware.
If I have the model then I should be able to download the correct POI safety files.. or maybe I don't need the model number???

Suzuki warning POI's

Hi, I have just purchased a Vitara sport which didn't have speed camera warnings, this is the full touch screen infotainment unit. After spending a day on the internet and trying various different POI files I have finally got it working:
- I found a Nissan POI file in CSV format,
- created a directory on a USB stick called myPOIs, as per the manual,
- then added directories for both Nissan files with the prefix "myPOIWarnings_",
- then added the files to the relevant directories, changing the file names to also start with "myPOIWarnings_".
- Then started the sat nav, put the USB stick in and it asks if you want to load POI's, say yes, they load up

Now I get warnings pop up and the image on the nav, I haven't checked if warnings appear when nav isn't open.

Suzuki sat nav

Hi, I have a 2016 Suzuki Baleno and the sat nav is stuck in Germany, I live in Northern Ireland !! It keps telling me to drive onto a designated road .... my local dealer says to bring the car in for a software update, will this fix the problem or will it be a waste of money ?

Garmin Bosch satnav update on Suzuki Baleno

I had exactly the same problem one year ago. The dealer allegedly sorted it but I realised the maps are several years out of date. The infotainment book tells you go to the web site. The instructions there do not work. Contacting Suzuki UK help line was wholly negative. they blame Bosch and/or the dealer!!!

Very, very poor service or rather non-service. My previous GPS unit had life time map updates on a £100 satnav!
