| Posted by zen123 POI Loader Application has stopped working I have created my POIs and saved as CSV for Garmin. I have got the Garmin POI loader software from here today and installed on my computer. However I am having problem using the POI Loader. I tried several times and each time I have the same message: "POI Loader Application has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program......" How can I get the POI Loader to work please? Your help and suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks |

| Posted by bernienchris POI Loader Try right clicking on the shortcut then click on 'run as administrator' this will give it full permission to run. If this still doesn't work check your anti-virus, security settings, it may be blocking it from running as well. Did you see any windows pop up when you first installed POI Loader? If so and you answered 'No' then your security setting will have to be changed manually. Depends on what security program you are running as to how you will go about this. Cheers, |
| Posted by zen123 POI Loader Application has stopped working Thank you for your suggestions. Initially it was suggested that I may have too many rows or my file was too big i.e. 530 rows of POIs. I later discovered that the format of my csv file was incorrect. I saved my POIs in excel csv but some of the latitude and longitude were in the same column. I used Excel "text to columns" to separate the latitude and longitudes in two separate columns; where there are blank spaces found before the numbers for the co-ordinates they are removed. After tidying my file the POI Loader had finally and successfully converted the file to gpi. |
