| Posted by prc2009 Garmin map updates (Australia) Can anyone tell me how often maps are updated for Garmin in Australian models. They seem terrible. They use Whereis and the maps are so dated - whereas Google maps seem so much more up to date... |

| Posted by toftnda Garmin nuvi 255w I also recieved a new 255w to replace 260w with the new 2011.2 map and the new intersection that has been finished for at least 2 years is not on it. Maybe next year... |
| Posted by cawinter3 Map updates free lifetime At the moment (August 2011) at Dick Smith and The Good Guys you get free Lifetime maps on selected Garmins (eg Garmin nuvii 1260, 1450T are two.) Saves $189. you can download updates up to 4 times a year. |
| Posted by mcnaughtonb In the UK as well. Garmin updates to new roads are 2 to 3 years late. i wrote to Gamin about a new roundabout near us that had been open two years, recieved a reply thanking me for the info. It still took two more Garmin updates for it to appear. |
