| Posted by Richard S Navman N40i St Smart Desktop I have a Navman N40i which works well for updates in Windows XP using Smart ST 2006 ST desktop for connection etc. I have just changed my computer to a laptop using Windows 7. Even using the latest Microsoft 6.1 software I am unable to get a connection to the Navman updates. It keeps connecting the N40i then droping the connection. I have had no help from Navman. Please does anyone have a solution? Many thanks Richard |
| Posted by dgreen Navman N40i St Smart Desktop Richard,I am unsure of the issues that you mention, but I do agree that the general Support for Navman (in Indonesia) leaves a lot to be desired, and many times I have been given either false / misleading information as to issues that I have had.Can I suggest that you call the Support again (1 300 628 626) and instead of selecting the Support option, select the Dealers & Pre-sales queries department (same option number). They are locally based (Sydney) and are generally very helpful.Best Regards,Denis |
