I've tried all settings. It just won't recognize the road unless there is absolutely no other way to get to a location. |

| Posted by Red Error reporting My impression is that Garmin forwards this stuff back to map makers, but as a user you get nothing for reporting it. Real cartographers always (ALWAYS) would sned you back a free update of your paper map next time they published one, as a courtesy for reporting errors to them. Garmin? Misses the point. One free update is a damned cheap way to get map errors reported by users. In some locations, the base information is simply poor. In others (are you sitting down?) map makers place INTENTIONAL errors in their maps, so they can easily tell if someone has copied them. If your route takes a back road or a little-used one, that's usually where they put in intentional errors. And Garmin wouldn't know if that was the problem, only their vendor would. (i.e. NavTeq, who don't follow the old courtesies either.) |

| Posted by alanrolfe routing issues My Garmin nuvi 2548 sometimes takes me off a motorway (highway) on a slip road, up to the roundabout (rotary) at the top of the slope. and then back down to the road I've just left. Even if the traffic on the motorway is moving very slowly, this gains me about four places in the queue at best. |
| Posted by Guest Incorrect direction across a field My new Garmin routes me across a one acre field from a cross street to get to my house, instead of my driveway on my address street. I get complaints from service providers about it a lot, as their GPS misdirects them to my home. |
