Converting GPX files to GPI

Hi Guys,

I have a Nuvi 760, and have downloaded new POI, however they are in GPX format and all my previous file were GPI.
Can anyone tell how I can convert the GPX files to GPI or will the GPX files work ok with my Nuvi 760?

Cheers

GPX files

They will work fine as gpx. See here: https://www.gps-data-team.com/pda-gps-navigation/topic/33.html

Convert GPX to GPI

Files on your Garmin are usually as gpi. It is the extension provided by POI loader.
It is all explained here (basic) or here (advanced).

Just take your GPX files (as many files as you want), put them all in the same directory, load Garmin POi loader and point to that directory. Done, your file "Poi.gpi" has just been created. Now you put it in the right directory of your GPS or card (X:/Garmin/POI/). Good luck.

Convert gpx text to gpi to upload to a Garmin c330

I am planning a trip with dozens of addresses. I wrote the address in a word file, saved it as gpx-text to an excel file. I think I have to convert the GPX text file to a GPI file to upload it into my Garmin c330.

I understand there is free software to do this. How do I get the software to do this conversion?

Micro SD card

I'm going to place mine on the Micro SD card. The cost of the cards these days means they are great Value for money and cut back on the load on the GPS
