GPS app Mobile vs Brand GPS unit, which one best for you?
I love GPS unit and have used several Garmin units already.
But recently, I use Mobile gps apps more than GPS unit, because of
- Do not need to use pc to update data;
- Mobile multi-functions, more choice, internet browsers;
- Easy install;
- Light, convenience use;
- Google or Apple super function support;

I use my mobile if I need to find something quick and not planned. If I know where I'm going in advance, I use my GPS unit. Main reason, I sometimes get phone calls on my mobile. Which means the GPS gets switched to the incoming call and then you might miss an exit coming up. This did happen to me a few times.
I am looking for a GPS that is as responsive to the touch screen and pinch zoom as my cell phone. My Garmin has such lay compared to my cell phone. I hesitate to buy a new GPS afraid it will be just like my old one. Anyone have experience with a GPS with a fast response touch screen
