Hello I would like some please assistance. Like holding hands to get things to work.

After downloading the file GPS-Data-Team.gpi and copying it into my POI directory on my Garmin nuvi I went out and tested it and it seemed to have worked with cameras and bong sounds showing in my local vicinity. Then I moved all the other sample gpi files (cyclops) and a competitor's gpi file to a temporary directory for safe keeping to copy back if needed.

I drove around and now nothing is showing. No cameras at all where there were some previously. This leads me to think that it was the old cameras I was seeing and not the new ones installed from the GPS-Data-Team.gpi

What do I do the get all the latest safety cameras installed and working on my Garmin nuvi 2595LM?

You kind assistance would be appreciated.

Hi pjrich, can you please provide the co-ordinates. I can check if that location is listed in our camera files?

Further to the above "safety cameras do not work". Perhaps I am expecting to see similar icons (different for each type of speed camera ie 30mph, 40mph, etc.

I would like some clarification please.

1. Do I need to download each set of files from the following list?
https://poi.gps-data-team.com/united_kingdom/safety/

and
2. Do I download the following files from
https://www.gps-data-team.com/poidownloads.php

Garmin POI BMP
Garmin POI CSV
Garmin POI GPX
Garmin MP3 (Audio alert for Garmin POI file)
Garmin WAV (Audio alert for Nuvi models)

After doing this do I put them in the a single directory and use the POI Loader to upload them to the nuvi 2595 that I have plugged in?

Thanks for responding Mark.

Given your response, I am sorry I am obviously confusing you. I am not explaining myself properly.

I am still at the basic stage? I am not trying to load one camera, I am try to get the whole safety camera database downloaded and installed onto my Garmin nuvi 2595LM.

It may be loaded, but what I am seeing is different to the previous database with regards to icons and warnings, so I need to go back to basics. That is what I am asking support for.

Note. I do not see 30 mph, or 40 mph or 50 mph icons, but one black flashing solid circle on a yellow background. Is this correct?

Hi again,
You have 3 options:

1. Lazy guests - Download a single All-in-one GPI file (basic alerts with a single yellow icon)
2. Easy guests - Download ALL listed redlight, speed, etc. camera files in a single GPI file (camera specific icons)
3. Advanced members - Download ALL listed camera files (CSV, BMP, WAV) for all cameras (red, speed, etc.)

Currently, you are using the 1st option. Our guests usualy use the 2nd option.
As a member, you can use the 3rd option (recommended).

3rd option: Advanced members

- Download ALL listed camera files (Garmin POI CSV, BMP and WAV) for all cameras (Mobile speed cameras, SPECS speed cameras, DS2 Cameras, TRUVELO speed cameras, Speed Cameras 40 mph, Red Light Cameras, GATSO, Speed Cameras 20 mph, Speed Cameras 60 mph, Red light and speed cameras, Speed Cameras 30 mph, MONITRON speed cameras, Speed Cameras 50 mph, UK speed cameras, Speed Cameras 70 mph)

It is all already explained in our Garmin Forum.
