I had problems with the voice command. It recognised some command but not others. I have problems with commands like "phone", "back", etc. The strange thing is that if I say "phone", it goes to "volume".

The frustrating thing is that some commands (including "phone") work for my daughter. I think Garmin still have some way to go for voice commands.

Have to agree, there is a long way to go with voice recognition. Gets very confused very often, but apart from that it is a great unit.

Just like others here on this forum, I find that voice recognition is pretty much useless when trying to input an address.
I make sure that I turn the radio down and there are no other noise sources in the cabin; still no luck.

Had my 3590lmt reboot for no reason yesterday, ( 1st time) but worked ok for the next 500 klms......

Hi Johmazz, I had the same problem for quite some time with my 3590. I find that if I hook it up to the PC and "Garmin Express" monthly it works ok.
Prior to that it would reboot anything up to 7 times on a trip. Garmin told me it is usually requiring an update.

Found a system update last week also, and hopefully it happens no more. Still has only rebooted once on me though. Great unit....Very clear pictures of intersections and lane guidance makes it easier to dive in the city.

I had 3490lmt which is basically a same unit. I have occasional (once a week or so) of freezing problem. Voice guidance would still work but the screen is frozen and needs to restart to fix the issue.

I have a Garmin 3590 loaded initially with the default North American maps, I have added full European maps on a micro sd card,

The voice command set to English does not recognise United Kingdom and does not work properly, (think it might be the British Map causing the issue)
the Find address commands fail to work, but some commands do work,
the View map, Find category,Go home Favourites and History commands work OK

Making sure language settings are same in text and voice helped, but still not working 100%.. Confused

The voice commands leave a lot to be desired on all brands, but, having said that, it is still a GPS primarily and not a dictating machine. Think we may be expecting too much some times.

My old one 1390 dies after doing firmware update, stuck on Garmin logo all times.
It could not reset at all.
Then I bought the new one 3590 lmt
My unit 3590 lmt has not had problem rebooted. I recently updated the firmware to 1.8, hopefully no problem in the future.

But I could not get voice command to work properly.
It was work sometime.

I have problem with the traffic icon for the 3590 LMT. Maybe due to the firmware problem. I will try to update the firmware and retry.
