I just purchased a new Garmin 3590LMT prior to taking a holiday to Europe after many years waiting.

So I have started to look into speed camera and tourist related POIs.

I have searched many threads to try to understand the different Garmin formats without coming to a conclusion.

Which POI format should I download ? GPX ? Or is there any benefit in downloading POIs in more than one format ?

Post POI formats

The gpx files have the most information available.
You also need the mp3 files for sound and the bmp files for image data.
All 3 files have to have the same filename with the different extension.
You will also need a program called POI Loader, available from Garmin.
