POI Loader and bmp files

Hi
do I need to rename both bmp and gpx files to be exactly the same, same names !?
in order to see icons, ALL files?

Yes, you need the POI file (GPX/CSV/etc.), BMP and WAV/MP3 files to all have the same name before the suffix.

bmp to gpx

Ok newbie here. Do I have to convert bmp files to gpx in order for the nuvi 350 to read the files? If so is the a file converter tool to download?

NO, NO, NO.......
You need to have the files you wish to upload to your GPS, in the same directory on the computer.
i.e.
IGA.gpx
IGA.bmp
Iga.mp3 or IGA.wav depending as to which sound file your GPS recognises

The program POI Loader (available here as a free download) converts all 3 files into a file called POI.gpi which it then loads to the GPS.
It is also handy to have another program called SOX.exe in the same directory as POI loader, which assists with loading sound files.

The file called POI.gpi is the only file the GPS recognises..
