I had a 760, It would lose its voice occasionally, than it would freeze, and had to be rest it eventually just died and wouldn't start wouldn't do anything, even when connected to the computer.
Proberbly about 5 years old now
Had the problem for at least for the past two or three years, even contacted Garmin about the freezing & they couldn't help
From what I have read part of the problem was the track and archive became too big.
Any way it went into the cupboard for a while (Good reason to get a new one) Recently I got it out recharged it (couldn't before) updated it with the latest software (read some of the fixes that were downloaded and one of them fixed a freezing problem) updated the maps and it hasn't missed a beat since than.
Touch would has been about a month so far
Suggest you clear the log file even if you dont use tracking or have it turned on its still there and archived
Also update the software,
