I'm using the Nokia Here GPS which, at least in France, is very powerful, has a lot of data, clear and simple to use! Perfect on Nokia Lumia 800 and 1020!

Garmin GPSmap 62stc

Not sure if more models have come out, but this was hugely useful in Europe. Biked through Europe with a MacBook Air. Good stuff.
