Earlier this year i bought a tomtom via 120 Live sat nav.
it seemed ok until you try to use the 'my tom tom' software.
The majority of this software did not work and as today a lot of it still does not. this means that the free 1 year live update cant fully be used.
I contacted the Tom Tom technical unit in Holland and was told that thy were in big trouble with this software and may never get it to function correctly the contact i spoke to added that it should never have been released. .. already they have dropped some items such as petrol prices completely.
I returned my tom tom to Halfords along with my supporting paperwork and was given a full and total refund. Any one else totally dissatisfied with these models might try the same.
I placed a negative comment on the Halfords web site but the next day this was removed leaving only glowing positive comments on tom tom.
This software is used by the following tom tom models 1000 series, GO LIVE 800 series, Via series, Start 20 series, Blue & Me TomTom 2 LIVE, Sony XNV
I have since bought a Garmin Nuvi 1690 which functions extremely well with accurate maps
