As a newbee would firstly like to say what a good forum... this is well done.
I managed to download POI and update my Garmin Nuvi 200w. Everything went OK,
I also bought a City Navigator Europe nt sd card wich also seems to be working OK
My first dumb ass queston is, as my son has got the same Garmin model as me, can I make a copy this sd card, using a blank one, and fit in my sons Garmin, or is this card a onetime / machine use only.

Unfortunately not - You need to purchase additional maps for other devices as they look to the serial number of your GPS for a match.
With a lifetime of free maps for under $90.00 Canadian, that is not too bad.
I own a Nuvi 255W and a handheld Rhino and I wish I could share the maps amongst my devices.
Once you purchase a map you should be able to use it in any device that YOU own and use personally. Unfortuneatly, pirating has gone a long way to stop the use in this manner..
