I am trying to upload a custom POI csv file using POI Loader.

POI Loader does not find my device which is connected on the serial port. MapSource sees my device ok.

Can POI Loader use the serial port and my device? Thanks.

StreetPilot is nice, but it has some limitations. More about SP III is here: http://www.gps-data-team.com/Live_Help/user_qa.php?current=12&answer=57

You should download Garmin XML - GPX Exchange file format which is available for all downloads in our Garmin POI Download Zone. Save downloaded file to your HDD and load it with MapSource.
