I own a Garmin nuvi 250w, and have downloaded "Garmin wav (Audio alert for Nuvi 2xx models)" for Red Lights and Speed Camera along with the connected files.
I have the sox.exe file in the Garmin folder.
Using GaminPOIloaderforwindows, I have an error message that Garmin unable to convert .wav to the proper format.
Has anyone experienced this and how do you get round to resolve this?
Had a similiar problem with the 1490 (I was used to mp3, found out they were unsuitable and havd to use wav, than had the poi say it was unreconisableb Have it now working had to install sox.exe
It appears you may need to use wav files and your poi loader will need sox.exe sitting in the loaders directory I found with the 1490

Thank you for your suggestions.
This is how I got round it and it appeared to work.
I deleted all the known ~.wav files that Garmin said it was unable to convert.
Then I copied and pasted the known ~.wav file that works, and renamed it same as the name of the connected ~.csv or ~.gpx file.
