When starting the Nuvi 1450 I keep being asked if I want to copy new stuff from the Mini SD Card to the GPS unit. I keep tapping NO. This does not seem to matter as every time I start the unit it just keeps asking me if I want to transfer it.

Is there a way to stop the unit from doing this?

I would like to keep all my stuff on the card and keep the unit clean where possible.

I have the same issue with my Nuvi 855. It has only started asking me the question after I downloaded and installed custom POIs. I always say no too because I want to keep my Australian POIs on the micro SD card with my Australia and NewZealand map. I'm not sure if the POIs would mix with the North American map POIs on the main unit or be a seperate Australian custom POI ".gpi" file.

I too have the same issue going on with my 1490. The only way for this message to no appear is to not have custom POIs on the SD card. Even if you do select yes to have them moved to the device, the next time the gps starts up with the SD card in it it will see the custom POIs and ask you the question again.

From what I understand, the custom POIs on the card (when transferred) will overwrite all custom POIs on the device. There is only 1 custom POI file stored in the Garmin. They do not mix with the built in POIs though.
