U.S. Red Light Camera's     
Being the newbie that I am, I thought that you could download and extract individual state(s) files from for instance say the all-in-one Red Light & Speed Camera file or maybe the Speed Trap Camera and make a folder and then install them on the GPS.

Does anybody know or have they tried to install say the whole U.S. Red Light Camera's or the whole U.S. Speed Trap Camera's and if so did it slow your GPS unit down?

Download Individual Files     
After searching through this forum a bit more after I wrote this post, I found that I can't extract single state(s) file from the POI all-in-one US files saved to my computer and having a lot of POI files on my GPS will bog it down.

This poses a small problem for me because I don't always travel with my laptop or have access to a computer. So for the sake of speed, file space and the extra accumulation of POI files that are not needed at that time on my GPS, what are my alternatives???

Is there a way to put the POI files on the SD Card or some other kind of media and recall (upload & download) the POI files as needed or do I have to use the POI Loader to upload them all of the time???

USA Safety Cameras AIO     
Can anyone tell me if the USA Safety Cameras the one pasted below. I can read what it says but does anybody know if it covers Mobile Speed traps & Speed Traps also???

- All in one - All USA speed and red light camera locations in a single file.
You will have duplicated alerts if you download this POI file in addition to any other USA camera GPS POI file: speed cameras, red light cameras and speed and red light cameras.

Yes that download has all the files you will need.

What about saving them to an SD memory card?
Nuvi will read from that just fine (I believe)

safety camera overlap?     
So to be clear, the USA Safety Camera file (340 kb) has everything including:
-speed cameras
-redlight cameras
-all speed cameras xx mph files
-mobile speed traps
-speed traps USA

The description on the download page is not clear to me as to if all the above are included.

Also, do Redlight cameras and Redlight and speed cameras overlap?

Does Speedtraps USA contain all the speed cameras xx mph files?

I'm a bit confused as to what files have overlapping POIs.

I too am new to the forum and have been trying to make sense of it all. I don't know what the difference is between the Speed Trap USA and USA Safety Cameras for instance.

I've had no luck getting any response to clarify the questions above. If you're able to find out anything, please post an update to this thread.

You will have duplicated alerts if you download this POI file in addition to any other USA camera GPS POI file: speed cameras, red light cameras and speed and red light cameras.

As per above the Safety cameras have it all, they dont though have over speed warnings for the speed traps, just a warning that there is one ahead.
If you want the speed warnings, dont use this POI, download all the separate one instead, once setup you will get the over speed warnings provided your unit is capable of it.

If you use this file this file you wont get double ups with speed and red light cameras, if you download them separate you will.

I would suggest that this combined file is what you need, I personally dont mind getting a warning at whatever speed i am travelling at.

Get the BMP and WAV or MP3 files as well for the icon and voices.

Safety camera file has all but speed warnings for speed traps? That is unclear to me. Are you saying that Safety Camera does NOT contain Speed Traps USA and mobile speed traps?

What of the below is NOT contained in the Safety camera file?

-redlight cameras
-redlight and speed cameras
-all speed cameras xx mph
-mobile speed traps
-speed traps USA

The description of the Safety Camera file says you will have duplicates if you d/l speed camera (which links to Speed Traps USA) and the RL and RL&Speed cameras.

That description and linkage leads me to believe that the Safety Camera file contains a compilation of:
-Redlight Cameras
-Redlight and Speed Cameras
-Speed Traps USA

and leaves out mobile speed traps and all of the speed cameras xx mph files.

Is this correct?

Red light camera     
I Have Downloaded Some for New York (bronx).
and they do work, when there is a camera near by the red camera icon shows up.
