Hi,
I have PDA Ipaq 5550 (bluetooth enabled) and I want to use it as a car navigation system. What other hardware I should buy?! and what is the best software that supports *.img maps format.

You need bluetooth GPS receiver (any) and some GPS software.
I would recommend Destinator. This is my private opinion and does not represent the opinion of the other GPS Data Team members (with TomTom software).
We do not use IMG map files as we have GPS maps provided with GPS software.
