Hi guys,

I have a British tomtom with British maps installed,

I have hooked it up to the computer and as per forum advice moved the UK maps to the hard drive. I have a copy of the Australian maps care of a friend on disk.

I have then copied this file to the British tom tom.
After pin reseting and numerous attempts to get theses Aussie maps on to my device i am still at the same sad junction. My tom tom keeps reading:

YOU CANNOT USE THIS MAP ON THIS DEVICE; AUSTRALIA;

I am having trouble comprehending this and feel sure that someone far more savvy than myself (a scaffolder) will be able to help.

You can not use maps unless they are activated which is either done buy purchasing them or there are other means.
