Hi, I have a Touch Pro 2 and have been looking around for the best turn by turn software for it.
I see people talking about using TomTom on their phones but I have been unable to find that software, for purchase or download.
iGo was tempting but I could not see where to buy it for Australia.
Can I please have some assistance with what everyone is using?
Much appreciated, I am new to mobile GPS. i have a GO730T in the family car and I have been using google maps while out and about in my car. It eats up a bit of data, though it is fantastic picture navigation!
Is there anything available like google maps that is not a data session? built in satelite imagery?
Garmin Mobile XT and Alk Copilot Live 8 work on the HTC TP2
Tom Tom hasn't updated their Navigator for windows mobile since version 6, except for parts of Europe where they released version 7. Hence your best bets are Garmin XT and Alk CoPilot Live 8.
The latest TomTom that can be installed in the HTC phone is the TomTom Navigator 7. Latest map version is 8.50. You should be able to find it in TomTom website.
On the other hand, you might want to try Garmin Mobile XT v5.00.20w. You can download the installation file from Garmin and install it in your phone. The map is normally called City Navigator (e.g. City Navigator Europe NT 2010). But you need to activate it.
