If you have a Garmin Nuvi 310 or 660 with the pop up aerial that stops picking up satellites due to aerial failure you can get a quick fix to get it working. I was in Italy when mine failed and I found the tie used for closing up the plastic wrap on a loaf of bread just fitted neatly in the external aerial socket and worked enough to pull in all satellites. This got me operational again a long way from home until I was back in Australia where it went back for a warranty repair!
