Hello,

When driving at exactly 100km/h, I get a voice alert about safety cameras set to the 100km/h speed. At 99 km/h, I don't get those alerts (it just shows on the map)
This is expected of course, but is it possible to set the alert to a different speed (say 101 km/h) than the safety camera posted speed ?

I'm using Garmin's POI loader, and in the advanced options it seems to offer this option, but it hasn't worked for me (I set it to 10km above the speed limit, and was still getting alerts). Is there anything else I can do ?

I think you would have to edit the 100 speed limit file and change the settings there. Why do you wish to change a 100 k alert to 110k ?
There are 110 kph alerts in the download area.

My problem is that using the cruise control, the speed is never constant to less than 1km/h (hills, etc). So in a zone that's dense with safety cameras, I would have to set my cruise speed to 5km below the posted speed limit to not get an alert every 2 minutes (when everyone goes 10km above, it's not quite good).

First, I found out why the alert speed I enter is not taken into account by POI Loader:
http://www8.garmin.com/products/poiloader/creating_custom_poi_files.jsp
It's because the speed is encoded in each POI with the @100 notation (for an alert at 100km/h), which takes precedence over the manually entered speed.
I could replace all these @100 by @101, but then the display would be wrong.

So here's the dilemma:
* see the correct speed on the display (what I want), but get the audio alert at the posted speed (the current behavior I don't want)
* see the wrong speed (1 km/h above) on the display (what I don't want), and get the alert only if I go above the posted speed (what I want)

I guess I'll have to live with option 2, knowing a speed limit is never 101, but 100.
