The cameras use the same size boxes in a lot of the old style cameras and the newer style cameras are a bit smaller. There are also the ones hidden inside roadside vehicles and side mounted ones on police vehicles.
You use the loud pedal and takes your chances Embarassed

Ok
If if it looks like, or similar too, the red light cameras
Then when the speed cameras poi that I downloadedcfrom this site alerts me for a speed camera, then I should see something that looks like a camera!!

But this NEVER happened Shocked

Instead
Every time the POI alerts me for a speed camera, and I look around every where trying to find any thing that looks like a camera, all what I see is a pair of small white devices that looks like a speacker attached to one of he posts(traffic, light) vertical to each other!! Confused

Has my city replaced the speed cameras with speed sonars?! Laughing

Now days in some cities they combine red light cameras and speed cameras in one devise- so you can get 2 tickets at once!

Your two boxes are probably microwave speed sensors for traffic management. They are used to detect traffic flow, not speeders. Many people add incorrect devices to these files because they assume that anything that is a camera (or looks like one) is a red light or speed camera.

Very true! I have noticed a few traffic flow cameras near me that have been mislabeled as speed cameras.

I thought that red light cameras operate as speed cameras when the lights are green and they operate as red light cameras when the lights turn red.

A "Red Light" camera will get you if you go through a red light; a "Speed" camera will get you if you are over the speed limit; a "Safety" camera will get you if you are going over the speed limit and also if you go through a red light. In some areas there are also "Bus Lane" cameras that will get you if you travel in a Bus Lane when you are not allowed. It helps to know the differences.

Wouldn't waste my time looking for them, just check your speedo and make sure you are at the correct speed when the warning is given..
