Wow, Navman seems complicated!

I have connected it to my pc via USB to charge..... I have no idea how to know when it is finished lol.

I have loaded the disk. I am not sure if I need to update anything and if I do, I'm not sure how to!

I think I will be ok with the other bits such as entering locations etc as they are covered in the manual.

Hmm, I hate to admit I haven't a clue - I like to be the girl who can do it herself....... but this time I have no choice but to admit that I really have no clue where to start.... Any advice would be gratefully received.

My advice is to read the manual that came with the device, adding custom POI's found on this site is pretty simple. Just play with it a bit and I am sure it will make sense

The important thing to remember is that you can always rest the device if it seems to be playing up.

Also get the updates that they have issued.

This does make the device a little faster to boot up.

Most important thing is DON'T PANIC

Hope this helps...

I would suggest checking if there are any updates or driver changes.
If all ok, you can subscribe to this site and download points of interest or radar zones etc. Some are free downloads but the complete set are for subscribers only. Have been using site for 2 years plus and very useful tools available here.
Make sure you check to see if you qualify for the free map upgrade, if there is a later version than the one you have installed on your new GPS. From memory, there is a 30 day free update period time limit.
