Hey,

You need to reinstall the software and the maps on your navman s90i. And install the update.

I believe its something to do with the cache... See other posts...
as soon as you load POI's it starts to occur. This has happened on a S90I and also a new s150

Navman support is bad....

As an Ambulance car driver I had masses of probs since updating to 2009 maps so I contacted NAVMAN and this is the reply I got - it worked so hear is what they told me to do.

you must have a working DVD with maps etc on before doing this.



please see below the procedure to follow.

Turn the device on and when the USB screen appears, go to

>Start

>My Computer, and open the removable disc corresponding to your device.
>Delete the Navman folder

>Disconnect the device from the PC and hold the On/OFF button down for 10 seconds for the device to reboot.

> start up navdesk on your PC then Connect the device to the PC

Go to

>Tools

>Recover keys

>Finish.

>My maps

>Click on Europe (make sure the DVD is in the drive)

>Select the countries you wish to install (if you have a European device and don't travel in other countries regularly install only the UK then there will be more space on your device and it will run more quickly)

>Install maps

>Transfer

>Close.

I contacted Navman for the above issue and was told to try installing the maps ect:
This did not solve the problem...turned out I had to send the S90 back to Navman to investigate the fault.
This issue only started when I installed the latest s/w update... Hmmmmmm

Maybe start from scratch again, un-install navdesk and the maps, and then re install but without installing the s/w update. That might fix it...good luck. Let us know how how you get on.

Thanks MikeS, I followed the steps you detailed and hey presto it works. There is only one problem. I have a European version and decided to only load the UK maps. The unit loads incredibly quickly as it doesn't have to load the rest of Europe but I get a message that some maps did not load properly!

I can still navigate the UK it seems.

Is this a problem? Did you have the same message?
