Garmin 265w POI Problems

Garmin 265w POI Problems

Hi
I've recently purchased a brand new Garmin Nuvi 265w, I've joined this site and downloaded the POI's to the unit, now when in navigation mode or even in free roam they won't show up on the map? They will only show if I switch to aerial view, or if I drap the map with my finger to a place where I know there is a POI such as a petrol station.
Anyone have any idea whats what here...

Icons not showing up on downloaded POI's

I have just downloaded the POI's and installed them and they show up in the extras folder which I can navigate to, but I think you have to attach icons for them to show up, which is in the GPX file with the proximity alert.

Try changing the detail your map shows under the settings.

POIs don't show up on the View Map (the navigating map, theo one you see when roaming or on a route. They show up on the Aireal view when zoomed below 500ft.

If you go to your map information and set it to most or more detail the information should be there.

Hello, I have the same unit: Nuvi 265WT.
My unit only shows the icons if I have zoomed in on the map at 80m or lower.
I only downloaded the bitmap images and the gpx files and loaded them with the garmin poi loader and turned the map detail to show most, it works fine for me and shows up the icons of poi's if they are on the same route as my destination, no problems.
