Although the TomTom is a good product, the suction cup and the arm that holds it to the round base that you stick onto the car dash is hopeless. The suction cup on the base of the arm does not stay put for more than 5 minutes. I have complained to Tomtom several times and they have replaced both the disc and the suction attachment but nothing seems to work. When you spend $800 on a GPS, the attachment should work but it has totally ruined my experience. What is the point of having to keep the Tomtom in the bottom tray near the gear shift - you have to take your eyes off the road to look down. GPS should always be near eye level.
Do any of you TomTom users have the same problem? If yes, then how do you stick your GPS to the dash?
Thanks for your inputs.
Try sticking it to the Windscreen (glass). The "grain" of the dash and cleaning products sometime used (eg amour-all) can be very "suction cup" UN friendly.
