I loaded a number of POIs onto my Garmin NUVI 670 and now it does not boot up. When I turn the unit on it starts up and says it is loading maps and then a few seconds later shuts down. Can anyone help?

I have the same problem. Loaded lost of POI oto my 350. Now it doesn't boot up any more. My PC doesn't even recognise it....

Who can help??

This seems to ba a common problem.

I had the same thing happen when loading Topo maps, called Garmin, they had np idea what to do but they are sending me a new unit overnight.

The units have a bug but thier customer serviceis outstanding. From now on I'm keeping any additions on an SD card, if the unit won't load I just pop out the card.

How do you change reference so that the devices knows to look at the SD card for POI files?
