HI Graham, The amount of folder and files you should have copied on to your SD card are 7 Folders and 35 Files, is that correct. Then insert it and switch your F20 on and you should find the new maps under the Australian ones. Go to Preferences, Maps, Manage Maps... Mine is working OK..

Vic.

Graham, not sure what's happening there... The file is a ZIP file of 48.7 MB size... This is the file you are looking for on the link page navman f20_mapas belgica, holanda y luxemburgo [sd-img].zip Right Click and Save Target.
I have just downloaded the file again and it's the right one. Good Luck. By the way do you know any sites where I can get UK, USA and Canada Maps downloaded!!

I have downloaded this a few times now Vic and I still get the same contents
6 folders and 10 files.

I will have a hunt around for other maps

is it possible you could FTP the contents of that zip file to me. You will need to email me first to get the details of my FTP server

Thanks

Graham

Hello,

I have managed unzip the files and install on my 1GB sandisk Uktra II SD Card. I can see, and select the required maps under Preferences -> Maps -> Manage Maps. So for example I select only the Iberia and UK maps ( 15 in total ). The maps appear to reload correctly. But when I select Places of Interest -> All POI -> Select Country, I don't get the option of selecting Spain or Portugal, only Ireland or UK, so I am unable to select a new address in Spain or Portugal. Does anyone know what else I need to do in order to be able to use the new maps. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

RTC

rtc I see what you mean, mine is the same, and there are POI for these Countries installed... We'll keep working for a solution. By the way where did you get the UK maps from, can you post the download site. Still looking for US and Canada maps as well.

I forgot to mention that I have the UK version, so it comes preloaded with the UK and Ireland Maps.

I'm wondering whether grawoo's other post that mentioned using a mmc+ card was the correct card type to use, rather than a SD card. If Navman only use mmc+ cards for their maps, it could be that the F20 uses the extra data pins to verify whether the card is the right type or not. I'm only guessing, but it might be worth a try.

Does anyone know what type of card Navman use, whether it is mmc+ or SD, and whether grawoo got the maps working with an mmc+ card?

You may be right rtc. I transfered maps on to an SD card, and while in the Maps section I can see the Countries, I cannot get the POI or Favorites or addresses up.
MMC+ card could be the go, the 13 pin connection could be the difference. Oh well it that works it would have been a good experience.

Vic I still havent got mine to work and as yet. I have the Aus version of Navman, it should be the same as yours though and I don't have a mmc+ card I'm waiting for my order to come in.

Also my ftp should now be working if you want to try and transfer that file again. I sent you an email with the details in it.

grawoo/vbee55,
My mmc+ card has just arrived ( Integral 2GB ). I've transferred the Navman directory over to the the card, and I have the same problem as the Sandisk UltraII card. It reloads the maps but you cannot use them. I'm now wondering whether there is a key that locks the maps to the GPS unit ( apparently Garmin used to do something similar with downloadable maps ). It doesn't sound right, as the maps come preloaded on a card, so I don't know how you would lock the maps. I'll have to do some more research and see if I can find out any more. If you guys have any luck then let me know.

Same here rtc Spent all morning looking for mmc card, finally found a 2gig and exactly the same problem as yours. Still looking at other forums for answer, no luck as yet. Hope we can find an answer. Wonder if there is a hidden file!

Good luck.

I can't even get any other maps to show up on my Australian Navman other then the pre loaded Aus ones that come with it.

Vic I have tried the file you FTP to me but it is not working either, it could be my sd card brand I'm using as well and funny enough the contents of that file were identical to what I had previously downloaded. 6 directories and 10 files that are outside the directories. I haven't checked the contents of the directories and counted them.

I have the F20 as well, and I can get the maps to show up when you boot up the F20 and it flicks through the maps as it loads up. I can also see the maps in the 'manage maps' section, but I cannot select any of the countries on the SD card when trying to choose a route outside the uk. It only brings up the countries that the F20 came with (uk and ireland).

Given that the maps ARE visible in the manage maps section, what else can I do?
