Hi all.
I currently have a very old TomTom Go (2004) and a Garmin 3790T. The 3790T is frankly terrible, having had issues with rebooting mid guidance.
I am now looking for a new sat nav as the one built into the car (2006 BMW) is out of date and not up to the task.
What would you guys recommend?
Requirements:
5" screen
Full European maps
Ability to plan routes off device and load them in.
Cost: Not too bothered as the TTG cost a fortune in 2004 and the 3790 was not cheap either

Thanks.

If you have a Double DIN space you can get an Android HU and can mirror your phone NAV onto a nice 7" screen. Most of the units I have seen use iGO maps onboard. Wish they would use the Garmin software. Steering wheel controls and amplifiers can get messy if you have an optical factory install. I did this on my 04' SL500 following a theft recovery and am very happy with the install and the cost savings over the factory command HU. Certainly the traffic and satellite radio are way better - Bluetooth alone makes it worthwhile!
