We recently went to Ballarat with friends. The other vehicle had a garmin c320 with V6 and we had the nuvi 660 with V7. The problem was our nuvi could not find any supermarket or a number of pubs in Ballarat. Has anyone else noticed a reduction in the number of places V7 can find?
It seems that garmin have trimmed the number of poi's loaded with the new version to same space. I have requested a file be created to only have the poi's associated with version 6 dumped in a csv format so it can be loaded manually into my device. I have a stp i3
I am new to the GPS business, having just bought my first navigator only a few weeks ago. My c510 came woith V7 installed, so it should be up to date. But alas it tells me to turn off bridges onto the road below thinking they are an intersection, tells me to turn where it is illegal to do so, and to enter roundabouts that have been gone for about 3 years.
The problem seems not to be the c510 so much as the 'where-is' database of streets. Is there any other maps I can load onto my unit that will improve performance?
