In earlier versions of the Nuvi GPS units, it was a simple matter of moving the "current.gpx" from the old machine to the newer model. This does not work for me with the Nuvi 3590LMT. Now, the "current.gpx" is re-written (by the 3590LMT) -- upon start-up -- to the original data... and I (I suspect) the settings are all set back to the original default because I have to go through the "Setup" questions again. I absolutely need those locations transferred to the new machine. How can I do what I'm asking for?
Think you will find that you have to load your gpx files through the POI loader program as previously, because the the file that the GPS looks at is a POI.gpi file, not a .gpx file.
All .gpx, csv, bmp etc etc are converted into one file called POI.gpi then transfered to the GPS unit with PIO Loader program.
