Got a new Nuvi 310 and have a few questions please.
I, i just bought the nuvi 310. Great unit but i have a few questions. When i navigate although i have the unit set to provide the most information the street names do not show on the map when i drive. They momentarily appear when i click go but dissapear a few seconds latter. Is this nomal? I have tried zooming in on the page but this does nothing.
Also i have a bluetooth unit in my car, is it possible to get the voice directions of the nuvi310 to go through the bluetooth and through my car speakers?
I have also downloaded a few POI's from this side such as maccas acd subway. Is it possible to just have the logo for thes but not the proximety alarm going of when i near these location?
I have this unit and the street names always appear on mine as I drive in View Map or Where to? mode. Something isn't quite right!
It would not be easy to output the sound through your car speakers as there are no audio outputs on the Nuvi 310. I have read in the FAQ on the GME website, that you cannot connect a bluetooth headset.
You can turn of the proximity alarms in Settings --- System --- Proximity Alarms. Don't know whether this will kill the logo. Try it and let us know.
Anyone know how to turn of the predictive text when entering an address. I can't enter some places because it thinks it knows where I am going?
I believe there is a headphone jack on the Nuvi 310, my guess is you could run your Nuvi through the car stereo just like an MP3 player, would this be right??
To get the audio from a 310 on the car speakers, you must connect a FM transmitter and tune your car radio to the same frequency. This does mean, however, you can't listen to the radio. But you can use the in-built MP3 function to listen to your own music through the car speakers, with instructions cutting as and when.
