I am new in the GPS Welt.
I search information about the data formats of the usual navigation devices. Does anyone keep on being able to help me there?
I plan to program a route planner on the basis of Google Maps with that from the self created route can generate a download for your navigation device.
How I have been seen csv or xml/kml file formats were based in this case. Some are, however, coded. Therefore searches information about that as the files builtly and coded are. Am thankful for every tip.
To make you own routes for the Garmin, you need to get the MapSource program from Garmin, which uses the same maps as your GPS. You make your own routes from that program and then "send" the routes to the GPS via the Mapsource program.
