Post I don't understand the POIS

I downloaded the US , Baltimore safety POIS. My garmin is full and I see the pois in my GPS but then how do they work?? Am I too thick!! I have been trying for a long time but I don't know what to do!!!
I really need it. I had 4 TKTS as of today I hate those cameras!

You dont say how you have installed them can I suggest you have a look at http://www.gps-data-team.com/pda-gps-navigation/topic/3418.html as I have found some of the information very helpfull.

Also I read somewhere in on of the Garmin forums a method of transfering safety alerts across to operate similiar to the Garmin ones.

After you download the files, did you use POI Loader (free download) to install therm? You should be able to see tem in your menu screens under Custom POIs. If you have installed them, and you can see them in the Menu screen, they should just work. If not, check whether you have Alerts turned off.

If you want to avoid speeding tickets try stciking to the speed limit rather than relying on GPS alerts.
There are more ways to catch speeding drivers than fixed cameras.
