By using this application, is it a way of getting around having to pay for MapSource or are they two totally separate applications? The reason I'm asking is I don't want to go out & spend the money to purchase MapSource if this free application does EXACTLY the same thing (or very similiar). Thanks for any help in advance.

Post Mapsource vs POILoader

Mapsource is a stand alone mapping program. You can create routes, etc. and send to your GPS.

POILoader is a program that allows you to send poi files (that you create or download) to your GPS.

Not exactly sure what you're asking so I hope this helps.
