I bought a new TomTom after several good years with my Go300.

From time to time when travelling around Europe I used to drive through nice villages etc by using "avoid motorways" option.

Now, my new TomTom XL2 IQ Europe 42 does not allow me to do that! Come on, great downgrading Shocked

Any patches or software pieces someone knows to fix this problem?

The new menu is bad Shocked I've had a good look around and all the downgrade navcores are having sound problems (no sound) so looks like we are stuck for now Crying or Very sad

That is indeed an annoying 'feature'. That said, on a long journey I rarely get the route I like on any of the automatic settings. Itinerary Planning is a fantastic feature because by setting some strategic waypoints you can force the TomTom to plan a route the way you prefer it.
