Speed Camera POIs and Driving in Germany & Switzerlad     
I live in the UK and plan to drive through Germany and Switzerland.

The advice in the UK to travellers in Germany and Switzerland regarding speed camera POIs is:

A GPS based navigation system which has maps indicating the location of fixed speed cameras must have the "fixed speed camera PoI (Points of Interest)' function deactivated. Should you be unable to deactivate this function the GPS system must not be carried.

Is this the case? has anyone got in trouble with the police on this matter?

Went through Germany and Switzerland /Ireland where they are banned last year with GPS stuck up on windscreen and no problems so I think it is only a matter of time before they catch up with the UK/France/Spain etc. and allow them officially.
BTW all the truckers have them in Europe anyway so it seems crazy not to allow them as the DO prevent speeding and accidents especially when you are trying to look at a paper map and drive!!.

Does anybody know why safety cameras POI don't work for Switzerland ?

I have a XL Classic, every other POI work, except for cameras?

Yes, they work well.
Log in, go to Switzerland Road Safety and download the file.

if you have Igo primo:
put these lines in sys.tst to disable speedcam in this country.
