All that info should be in the instruction manual that came with the unit, or, you can check all model specifications on the Garmin web site.
There are a few files there that everyone should check as there is also a program to check if you have the latest operating system files..
I would advise that you try to plug the GPS in whenever possible. The rechargeable batteries have a limited charging cycle. The less you rely on the battery, the better longevity you will get out of your GPS. I bought a NUVI 300 when it first came out. It is still going strong after all these years.
