GPS Data Team started another safety data collection project for New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, ACT and South Australia. We will expand this project to NT, TAS and WA by the end of this year. This database is just addition to the active governmental Black Spot Program in reducing the number of casualty crashes on our roads.
We collect information about common accident blackspots and accident areas involving cars, cyclists and pedestrians as designated by the authorities. Initially collected GPS POI data will be distributed free of charge to the contributors and all our customers. We will provide support for all major GPS device models and GPS enabled Pocket PC devices in Australia.
