We too unfortunately bought a Navman S-30 to do a trip around Australia. We made sure that we had it a good 8 months prior to leaving on the trip but it stopped being able to be charged via the car charger 1 month before the trip. Took it back to the store for it to be sent away to Navman for repairs. Got it back 2 weeks later and it worked for another week. Same problem with the charging. Rang Navman several times to be told just to send it back for repairs again. I tried many times to explain our delima of doing a big trip and not having the time to send it back for repairs and that I wanted a replacement. The store we brought it from was happy to give us another one if Navman OK'd this. But of course they wouldn't. I was left talking to some service idiot who would not put me switch me through to anyone higher in management. I also asked to be put through to customer complaints. He told me there was no such line. We have since done the trip without the Navman and fortunately a friend was able to lend us their Navigation System obviously not a Navman. I would not recommend that anyone buy a Navman and have told everyone that we met along our travels not to do so as well. Our Navman is still in for repairs. Thank goodness for the extra warranty I purchased.
