I just paid for a poi file of rest stops in Germany. How do I download it? If I go back to that page and click the download button, I just loop back to the page where it says my login name and pin. "Write it down and use it to access your files"

HOW???

Hi Paul,

I'll try to help:

- Go to https://www.gps-data-team.com/pda-gps-navigation/login.php to log in with your email address and the PIN number
- Go to https://poi.gps-data-team.com/ to find your file
- Press the Download button and select a GPI or DB3 file format .

What happens next? The file should be in your Downloads folder. Is there any error message?

When I log in, I get a little window that says:
--------------------------------------------------
Visitor login: Successful

Your Login name is: ...

Your PIN Number is: ...

Write it down and use it to access your files.

Go to your file and press the Download button.

Thank you for using our POIs and services.
----------------------------------------------------

The page has no download button. It shows:
-----------------------------------------------------

Country

United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, more...

Category

Road Safety, Petrol, Restaurants, Tourist locations, Shopping, Custom POI, more...
-----------------------------------------------------------------

There IS NO download button. Isn't there a "your purchases" or "your downloads" or something like that?

If, by "to find your file" you meant "and find your file", when I find the file, there is a download button, and it results in a page that looks like this:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
GPS POI download format:

Return to Germany or to Transportation in Germany

Go to:

POI's in and close to: ...

No download, nothing.

Hi Paul,
What file do you want to download (please copy and paste the link to that file). Can you see any Download button in that page?

Mark,

Thanks for helping with this. Here's the link: https://www.gps-data-team.com/poi/germany/transportation/Rest_area-DE.html

There is a download button, but it doesn't seem to do anything.

HI Paul,
The Download page opens in a new window. For some reason your web browser does not bring it up.
Do you use any download manager or javascript blocker? (Don't)
Close all windows and clean your cookies.
Try to download that file using another web browser or computer.

Post Tried it with virgin IE - still no download

Man, this is confusing. Even this forum has me confused. When I open the topic, I don't see your latest reply (about clearing cookies, etc). When I make a new reply, I see your latest one. I'm lost.

Anyway, I started from scratch in virgin IE. No dice. I login, get the confusing message about how to login, then go to that POI page and hit the download button. There is no popup window. It sends me to a page like this:

GPS POI download format:

Return to Germany or to Transportation in Germany

Go to: Select country Australia Austria Belgium Brazil Canada Croatia Czech Republic Denmark Finland France Germany Hungary India Ireland Italy Japan Kosovo Malaysia Mexico Netherlands New Zealand Norway Portugal Romania Russia Serbia Singapore Slovakia Slovenia South Africa Spain Sweden Switzerland United Kingdom United States more... Select POI categorySpeed Cameras Red light cameras Accommodation Automotive Computers School speed zones Money Petrol Postcodes Sport and recreation Restaurants Road Safety Shopping Society Tourist locations Transportation WiFi Hotspots more... Select GPS BrandGarmin POIVW RNS POITomTom POINavman POIOther GPS brands...

POI's in and close to: Country level Local POI

Post Finally got the file!

I finally figured it out. The stuff below "POI's in and close to" are the actual files. I'd tried this before, but some of the links just loop back or go to random places, and I happen to pick these and thought these must not be the link. If I cursor over the link, I can see that some of them end in Rest_area-DE. Click on one of these in IE, and... nothing happens! Except, something did happen. Hit ctl-J and the file is there for download.

Very, very confusing interface, but I finally got my file!
